Its an issue for the enforcement officers too. Im not sure theyd appreciate being recorded for their whole shift and possibly having their bosses spy sunglasses checking up on them.
Its Big Brother. A spokesman for the borough council said: In order to ensure the safety and security of parking enforcement officers from the threat of verbal and physical abuse, they have been issued with CCTV badges.
Similar equipment was already being used successfully by a number of police forces and local authorities across the country and had been effective in reducing the threat of violence towards staff spy sunglasses.
The cameras spy sunglasses are clearly visible and labelled as CCTV units and when dealing with members of the public, officers will inform the person or persons that the interaction is being recorded. The units recordings will be downloaded each day and in accordance with the Home Offices CCTV spy sunglasses guidance, footage will be retained for a period of 31 days for any investigation to become apparent. After this time it will be deleted. Nick Pickles, a director of campaign group Big Brother Watch, added: The use of these cameras spy sunglasses reinforces the idea that every member of the public is under suspicion.
